We produced the inaugural HeForShe UN Women National Committee UK Film Series. The series launched with a dynamic creative breakfast hosted by The Conduit, where guests will have the opportunity to share an intimate breakfast with one of our talented table hosts. Table hosts included: Christiane Amanpour (CNN); Jenny Beavan (Oscar- and BAFTA-winning costume designer) Vicky Featherstone (artistic director, The Royal Court); Elizabeth Saltzman (Vanity Fair); MyAnna Buring (Downton Abbey, Twilight, Ripper Street); Luisa Omielan (Comedian); Vanessa Kingori (Publisher, GQ); Diana Quick (Brideshead Revisited); Leah McLaren (The Globe and Mail, The Spectator); Eve Gabereau (Soda Pictures); Kate Morley (Kate Morley PR); Nishma Robb (Google); Mia Bays (Oscar-winning film producer); Sandy Powell (Oscar- and BAFTA-winning costume designer) and Hayley Atwell. This was followed by four preview film screenings starting on International Women’s Day  (Wednesday March 8th) and every subsequent Wednesday. During the series we screened A Quiet Passion starring Cynthia Nixon; Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson; Lady Macbeth starring Florence Pugh; and Their Finest starring Gemma Arterton. The series brought together superb British talent, including director Terence Davies, screenwriter Alice Birch and actor Gemma Arterton, who all participated in live post-screening Q&As.  Each screening was hosted in an iconic Curzon cinema and included a glass of Nyetimber English sparking wine and a Green & Black’s ice cream.
